Master's Message February 2015

Friends and Brethren,

I would like to thank the members of Adelphoi Lodge for their confidence in electing me as your Master for this coming year. I would like to thank our sister Lodge, Star of Bethlehem, for their attendance, the visiting Lodges from the East Bay District, as well as the Lodges from the other Districts and elsewhere. I would like to give a special thanks to Raymond E. Hassel, R:.W:. Deputy Grand Master, PG Marshal and Grand Master Elect, and Rick Baccus, his W:.GMC, for installing me as Master. Also, Michael R. Northup, W:.GMC for the East Bay District and last, but certainly not least, Kenneth F. Poy-ton, R:.W:.DDGM for the East Bay District, for the installing our officers. It is truly an honor to be a part of such a great bunch of brothers. I am looking forward to doing some Degree work on the candidates that we have lined up. My goal for this year is not to make changes but just to improve on building a better relationship between our members, widows and community. Also to do more charity work and fundraising . Attracting new members means we as a lodge have to work together.

On Saturday January 24th at 9pm we will be presenting a Donation for the Meeting Street School Telethon while on the air, please feel free to tune in. On Saturday, February 21st, we will be having our Valentines Dinner at Agawam Hunt CC in East Providence.

I wouldn't be in the position of writing this message if it wasn't for the support of the mem-bers, officers and past masters of this Lodge, thank you for your support. To my lovely wife Lisa, for giving me the confidence when I needed it, again my deepest thanks. I really could go on and on but I'm not! We have a great Lodge, and once again, I am proud and honored to be a part it!

If anyone EVER has any advice, concerns, or suggestions, please feel free to call me. Included in this communication will be an invitation for the valentines dinner with a calendar on the back of it of the upcoming events for the year. Please save it on your refrigerator or desk but I will also include them on the monthly communication letter. I would also like to remind our members who have a hard time making to lodge or events if you ever need a ride to a meeting, or an event , please don’t hesitate to call anyone of us! I would hate to not see you there for that reason.

At our upcoming February meeting, we will have our District Deputy Visitation, on Tuesday February 3rd. As a special treat, the R:.W:. Junior Grand Warden, and Chancellor of The Lodge of Research, Peter Iacobucci, will be our guest and speaking on Masonic signs and symbolism. This promises to be most interest and enlightening. Remember, Lodge will open at 6pm. I look forward to seeing everyone next month!

Fraternally,
John DeOliveira
