I'd like to start this communication off by congratulating our newest Master masons and perspective new members of Adelphoi! This was a very special and historic class of candi-dates! We had 6 candidates receive their Master mason degree! We had Four Sons, One Nephew and Brother Officer raised as Master Masons! We Had Matt McNulty who is a Broth-er Police Officer of our Senior Warden, Bro. Ray Blinn, Ronald, Thomas, and Richard Mowry, who are the sons of Fifty Year Mason Reg Mowry, Chace Pursley , who is the Son of Past Mas-ter Dane Pursley, and Jason Doyle, who is the nephew of Past Master Ed Kdonian, and the fourth consecutive generation of his family to join the Lodge! What a special group. I look forward to their profi-ciency and signing the By-Laws. I would also like to thank everyone who participated and attended our Master mason degree on November 10th! It was truly an honor and privilege to be a part of such an important event at Adelphoi. I don't know what meant more to me, being a part of a raising 6 new candidates, or the support and encouragement of the officers and past masters that were involved in putting it together.
I've learned so much about the craft, the members, and myself this year, that will stay with me forever. I am truly thankful for the opportunity that I was given of being the master of Adelphoi! I've learned that there is no such thing as I, but we! We as a fraternity, and as brethren, make it work and bring us together to become closer as one. I wish to thank every member who had faith in me, and supported me through my travels! I wish to especially thank the officers who stepped into line for me and the lodge, and continue to do so. There are so many elements in making a lodge successful, that I cannot begin to list them. It takes every member doing their part, no matter if it's teaching a candidate their degree work, history, lec-tures, or even just a word of encouragement. Realizing that there were many great and better masons and brethren before you and will be ahead of you! The thing is to learn from the past ,listen to the present and plan for the future. I would like to have as many members as possible attend our December meeting, because there are quite a few topics that I would Like to address. With the Annual Meeting approaching quickly, we need to focus on the future while enjoying the present. While what is past, is past, we can only learn from it if we do not dwell on it. It's a bitter sweet moment for me to write this! But I am very happy and grateful that I was given this opportunity! So please join me, our Brethren, Ladies, and Special Ladies for our Annual Christmas Dinner Dance at Agawam Hunt C.C. On December 12th at 6:00pm! Please don't forget to call in your reservations and dinner choices to 401-270-5283. Your din-ner choices are Beef, Chicken, Lamb, Fish, or Vegetarian. The deadline is approaching quickly, so please call by December 7th.
